Solid Rock Builders Construction Project

Everything is now in place to begin construction.  Construction will be in four phases – a pre-volunteer phase followed by three volunteer phases (see table below).  Excavation of land began on May 1, 2008.  When volunteer Builders arrive on June 20, 2008, the basement and footings will be in place and building materials will be onsite.

Volunteer Builders are either part-time or full-time Builders.  Most Builders are part-time Builders who come and build on Friday and Saturday.  Full-time Builders sign up for an entire week or more.

To become a Solid Rock Builder, just come to the building site. You don’t need to fill out any paperwork in advance.  You’ll be asked to sign a short application form when you arrive.  We start working at 7:00am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Come whenever you can make it, and drive safely.  No work on Sunday.  Sunday service is at 10:00am at LandMark Center Auditorium,500 E Jefferson St, Viroqua, WI.

Bring your friends and family.  In addition to builders, we need all kinds of support people from supplying material to serving food. Come experience the awesome power of spiritual fellowship working shoulder-to-shoulder with other builders.

Solid Rock Builders Ministry is assisting in building Grace Church.  The church has been designed as a two-story building with a walkout basement to maximize space (8,800 square-feet) and reduce costs.  The church building has been modeled after the La Crescent, MN EFC church build a few years ago.  A thanks goes to Daniel Butterfield who as a volunteer designed the church building. 

The small congregation of Grace Church in Viroqua, WI has been without a church for 8 years.   Plans are in place to build a two-level 4,400 square-feet church (8,800 total) beginning in June 2008.  Volunteers from the Solid Rock Builders Ministry will help build the Grace Church.  Without volunteer help, Grace Church could not afford to build a church.
