Solid Rock Builders Ministry Solid Rock Builders is a Forest Lake District EFCA ministry made up of volunteers devoted to help small congregations build churches that otherwise could not be built. The ministry provides church-building organizational and planning support as well as volunteer builders who help during construction. Our network of volunteers is made up of both skilled and unskilled builders. |
Skilled Builders – Project managers, Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers. If you're qualified, you may serve as a construction manager. Unskilled Builders – You don’t need to know how to build. You just have to have the desire to build for the Lord. We’ll teach you how to cut a board and swing a hammer. Support – We need volunteers to support the builders, like cooks, errand runners, cleanup, worship leaders, and many others. |
You’re Invited We are continually looking for volunteers who have a desire to build for the Lord. We invite you to come and join the excitement of building and feel the awesome power of the Holy Spirit working in His people. |
Project Lengths and Housing A building project takes three to four months to complete. You may volunteer for the entire project, a weekend, or for a single day. Builders commute each day or stay in their own campers or trailers near the building site or stay with congregation members. Tools Needed We ask that you supply your own hand tools. Larger power tools are provided. |
